Mr. Amir Hamid BMedSci BM BS FRCOphth CertLRS
Mr. Hamid graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 1999. After completing his basic general medical training, he began his career in Ophthalmology at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital where he completed his MRCOphth Examinations.
He then continued his Higher Specialist Training as a Specialist Registrar, working at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre and the Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary. Over this period, he completed a Corneal Fellowship, and performed numerous Corneal Transplantation Surgeries.
He gained both his Final FRCOphth and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2010.
Mr. Amir Hamid is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Ophthalmology, and has received Certification in Laser Refractive Surgery by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (CertLRS). He is skilled in a range of both laser and intraocular refractive surgery treatments and has a special interest in the treatment of presbyopia.
He is skilled in performing LASIK, LASEK, PresbyMAX, and in the use of the most advanced Multifocal Intraocular lenses (Trifocal and Extended range of vision IOLS) for refractive surgery.
