Eye Hospitals Group Surgeons
Our team of specialist eye surgeons are qualified medical practitioners, all of whom have specialised in Ophthalmology in the NHS. They all have a special interest in refractive surgery (vision correction); that is, surgery to avoid wearing glasses.
All our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council, and are Fellows or Members of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth or MRCOphth), or Fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). The medical team includes 15 specialist ophthalmic surgeons, and 60 ophthalmic opticians.

Mr. Mughal
MBChB MSc MRCOphth DRCOphth CertLRS
Mr. Sajjad Mughal studied medicine at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School in Dundee, Scotland, before qualifying in 1992. He completed his pre-registration in the Midlands before working as a Senior House Officer in neurosurgery at Wessex Neurological Centre.

Mr. Samer Hamada
MD MSc DO (Hons) FRCSEd FRCOphth
Mr. Hamada is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist and Corneal surgeon, with special interest in complex cornea, eye surface diseases, and modern cataract surgery. He completed his medical training at the West Midlands School of Ophthalmology.

Mr. Sanjay Mantry
FRCS (Edin) FRCS (Glas) MRCOphth (Lond)
Mr. Mantry is a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with a specialist interest in corneal refractive surgery. His Higher Specialist Training (HST) took place in the West Midlands from 2000 to 2004, where he developed subspecialty interest in anterior segment.
